What is new in Wordpress 5.1

Wordpress 5.1 was just released! And it is available for download or update in your WordPress dashboard.

Here is what’s new:

Site Health :

Site health is a long waited feature. Wordpress will start showing notices to admins that run outdated versions of PHP. And when you install a new plugin Wordpress will check if their minimum PHP version is compatible with yours. If not it will prevent you from installing that plugin.

Editor Performance :

The Wordpress devs worked hard to improve the performance of the new Gutenberg block editor. So the editor should feel faster and smoother.
